34in x 36in
This is the largest of Hettinger's paintings and was done for the International Artist Magazine. The article was about composition and design. He chose the interior of an artist studio for his setting and laid the painting out so that the viewers eyes are directed to the drawing the model is holding in the center of the painting. Following the line on his palette, it leads you to the painting on the floor, leaned against the easel, which is also facing the drawing in the models hands - just like the chairs, corner of the table, and even the paint brushes. In Hettinger's own words, "It isn't just a nude and another girl, it is a painting of control".
